Upgraded Instrument Cluster Kit
Purchase this upgrade kit for your 2003-2005 GMC or Chevy instrument cluster. Included is a new faceplate, new gauge pointers, and a set of LED lights. Purchase this kit alone or have it installed by Auto Tech Rescue technicians. This faceplate has an Escalade style font with blue scales and numbers. The gauge pointers have black centers with blue needles. The LED lights will need to be soldered into the board.
Installation
Installation instructions will be included with purchase. This kit can be installed by Auto Tech for $25 or can be included with any repair service to your instrument cluster.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What if I don’t have a transmission temp gauge currently?
A: For $2, we sell a cover that will go over the dial for the transmission temperature gauge. If your truck is set up for it, we can sell you a gauge motor to install or Auto Tech Rescue can install that for you as well. Some clusters will need programming for the gauge to work properly. If that is required, we charge $50 to program the cluster for you.
Q: How do I install the LED lights?
A: LED lights are polarized. You will need to determine the positive and negative side of the light and be sure to install properly on the board for it to work. If installed backwards, the light will not illuminate.
Q: Will I need to add a resistor to the light?
A: No. Our LED lights come with a resistor installed on the light already.
Q: What if I need a new lens?
A: We sell new lenses for $35.
Q: Do you offer upgraded lenses with chrome trim?
A: We do offer upgraded lenses with a chrome or satin trim around the gauges. These sell for $99.
